Picture a warm evening in Mbarara Uganda, where laughter and heartfelt cheers fill the air at the Children’s Peace Park Rotary House. The Rotary Club of Mbarara hosted its much-anticipated installation ceremony for the 2025/2026 Rotary Year, a dazzling event that welcomed new leadership with open hearts and a shared passion for making a difference. Rotarians from far and wide allover the country gathered to celebrate this milestone, marking the start of a fresh chapter in the club’s storied journey of service.

Held in the glow of July 2025, the ceremony was a vibrant nod to Rotary’s timeless rituals. The Rotary Club of Mbarara, a proud pillar of District 9214, came alive with the energy of members, guests and community supporters. The night unfolded with the outgoing president passing the ceremonial collar to the new leader, a moment that sparked applause and symbolized the torch of responsibility being handed over with grace. The event wove together reflection, recognition, and a bold vision for the year ahead.

The room buzzed with excitement as the new president and board took their oaths, each pledging to uphold Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self.” Inspired by Rotary International’s 2025/2026 theme, “Unite for Good,” championed by RI President, the incoming leader’s speech was a rallying cry. It wasn’t just about plans or projects, it was a call to connect, to inspire and to transform lives together. The crowd, a mix of Rotarians from across Uganda and beyond, leaned in, captivated by the promise of what’s to come.

The evening wasn’t just about new beginnings, it was a moment to shine a light on those who have poured their hearts into Rotary’s mission. The crowd erupted in cheers as Paul Harris Fellow pins were awarded to members whose generous contributions to the Rotary Foundation have fueled global efforts in health, education and peace. Each pin, gleaming under the lights, told a story of sacrifice and commitment, reminding everyone why Rotary’s work matters.

The new leadership’s energy was infectious, their words painting a picture of a year filled with possibility. While specifics of their plans remained a tantalizing teaser, the focus on unity and action was clear. The ceremony closed with a renewed sense of purpose, inviting everyone to join the club’s weekly Thursday fellowships at 5:30 PM at the Rotary House.
These fellowships, a heartbeat of the club, promise lively discussions and the chance to shape projects that touch lives.

The 2025/2026 installation wasn’t just a night to remember but a spark to ignite action. The Rotary Club of Mbarara stands ready to lead with heart, welcoming anyone eager to roll up their sleeves and join the mission. Whether you’re a Rotarian or a community member inspired to make a difference, the doors are open. Step into the Rotary House, share a laugh and be part of something bigger.
As the club embraces “Together One Act At A Time” this is your chance to help write the next chapter of impact in Mbarara and beyond.
