The Rotary Club of Mbarara successfully held its highly anticipated Club Retreat on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the picturesque Kashari Farm Resort.
The event was attended by club members who gathered for a day of fellowship, strategic planning, and rejuvenation amid the serene landscapes of Mbarara District.
The retreat kicked off in with a warm welcome from the club president, who emphasized Rotary’s core values of service, integrity, and community impact. Attendees were treated to an aerial-inspired promotional vibe, mirroring the event’s vibrant flyer that showcased Kashari Farm Resort’s lush grounds, sparkling pools, and elegant accommodations.
Nestled in the heart of Uganda’s southwestern region, Kashari Farm Resort provided the perfect backdrop for the gathering. Club members arrived to the sight of sprawling green lawns, modern facilities, and a tranquil atmosphere ideal for bonding. The program featured interactive sessions, including team-building activities with fun games and group exercises that strengthened camaraderie and highlighted the power of collective action; strategic discussions in breakout sessions focused on upcoming projects such as community health initiatives, education support, and environmental sustainability efforts aligned with Rotary International’s areas of focus; and a visit to the farm where members toured the expansive farmland of Kashari Farm Resort, gaining insights into sustainable agriculture, livestock management, and eco-friendly practices that inspire Rotary’s environmental initiatives. Networking and relaxation included ample time by the poolside, gourmet meals featuring local cuisine, and evening entertainment to unwind and celebrate achievements.
One highlight was the recognition of outstanding members for their contributions to recent projects, including water sanitation drives and youth empowerment programs. Kashari Farm Resort’s amenities, from comfortable lodging to recreational spaces, ensured everyone left refreshed and motivated.
